How it all fits together

Which math courses are required — and which are up to you

Ontario only requires 3 math credits to graduate: one in Grade 9, one in Grade 10, and one more in Grade 11 or 12 — any stream counts. Everything past that third credit is technically an elective, even though certain Grade 12 courses are commonly required for university programs. Here's how our 5 courses sit inside the full picture.

In short: our 5 courses cover the full university-stream Functions pathway from Grade 9 through Grade 12 — the track aimed at students heading toward university programs with a math component. We don't currently offer the College or Workplace stream alternatives (MCF3M, MBF3C, MEL3E, MDM4U, MAP4C, MEL4E).
